Free High School Open Fence

On Thursday, February 24th, the club will have a special FREE night of open fencing for all high school students (and coaches). With both the ECC and State Championships right around the corner, this is an excellent opportunity to get in some high quality bouting!
One Day Epee Intensive

Paul Luciano will be running an Epee Intensive on Sunday, February 24th. Paul is the former head coach of Fairfield High School, and is currently serving as an assistant coach at Sacred Heart University.
This one-day event will focus on the basics of Epee, as well as advanced bladework and competition strategies. Paul would also like me to stress that this is an "intensive" event, so be prepared to work hard!
Summer Intensive

For the fourth year in a row, the ICONN Fencing Club will be offering a week-long Summer Intensive Program.
This year's Summer Intensive will once again feature Dr. Tom Vrabel, Head Coach of Sacred Heart University, and James Harris, Head Coach at North Haven High School. The program will cover both foil and epee, and is designed for both novice and advanced level fencers.

Junior Intensive

This year we will also be offering a "Junior Intensive" designed to engage fencers under the age of 14 in the fundamentals of foil fencing. The week-long session will focus on the basics of foil footwork and bladework, as well as more advanced topis such as preparing for competitions and bouting strategy. As with the Summer Intensive, space is limited, so please be sure to reserve your place early!
